Alexandre Dumas's Literary Cookbook was published in Hungarian language for the first time
Alexandre Dumas wrote the gigantic Literary Cookbook 141 years ago. The selection of it was released in Hungarian language these days by the Corvina Publishing House titled Kitchen Dictionary – Alexandre Dumas’s Cookbook. Alexandre Dumas, one of the most important French writer of the 19th century, considered the Literary Cookbook as his life's work.
“On the 1300 pages of the first edition, published in 1873 three thousand recipes were featured, supplemented with a lot of short stories of adventure stories, however, we thought this gigantic work at first sight would be indigestible, so together with the publisher we deicded to compile a shortened version.” – Szederkényi Olga, the translator of the book explained to MTI.
