Supermarkets increased market share
According to GfK Hungária Market Research Institute supermarkets have continued to increased their market share, over the past nearly one year.
Real winners of the the last one year, were the supermarkets, increasing their market share with 2 percent in value because of the daily purchases of the households.
"Behind the numbers there is the transformation of the Plus discounts into Spar stores. In the forthcoming period it is expected, that the situation of the supermarkets will strenghten, despite the crisis, due to the additional store openings"- analysed the reasons Kui János, Trade sector manager of GfK Hungária.
