Pay-as-you-go computing by Microsoft
Microsoft is trying to patent a method that lets users pay for software and hardware based on how much they use.
The method tracks hardware usage of
disk storage space, processor cores and memory. It can also monitor
usage of software services such as word processing, e-mail and
Internet browsing. Fees for the services are then billed to the user.
The exact details are unknow, so we don't know when the system would beginn.
