Adventure and laughter with the Magnum boat at the SOS Children's Village Regatta
The SOS Children's Village was held for the fifth time on 8 August in Balatonfüred. At the charity tournament, in addition to several sailing boats, one of the most beautiful yacht of the lake, the Magnum also took part.
The aim of the charitable initiative that was launched five years ago is to provide all-day entertainment for children who are in difficult life situations with adventure therapy programs. Children between age 5 – 18 arrived to the Regatta from three Hungarian SOS institutions – from Battonya, Kecskemét and Kőszeg. The children and young people could enjoy the joy of sailing with the Magnum sailing ship and with an additional 40 sailing vessels. The track was the water surface under the Tihany Abbey, near Balatonfüred as in the previous years.
“It is a pride for us that the Magnum ship in addition to domestic tournaments is also the participant of such noble initiatives as the SOS Children's Village Regatta. Volunteering and donations play an important role in the life of Unilever. As a responsible company we feel it our duty to help everybody in need”- Vince Beáta, communications manager of Unilever Magyarország told.
