MasterCard opposed credit card commission rules
MasterCard Europe strongly opposes the proposal, which maximize the inter-bank clearing commission level, during credit card usage.
Gauder Milán regional director of Mastercard believes; state intervention will obstruct credit market development, as it reduces the inter-bank operations revenues. Issuers will be interested in cash purchases rather than card payments. The regional director, added: the interchange fees were not maximized anywhere in Europe – reports Világgazdaság Online.
