Conflicting news about Interfruct
According press informations Interfruct sells their store, but the company said its only closure because of stock-taking.
In the information of daily Napi
Gazdaság, the cash&carry chain has signed an agreement
with the Reál chain, which will continue to operate two of the
stores. Talks with Lidl concerning 10-15 stores are underway.
A
self-service wholesaler of groceries and FMCG products, Interfruct
has been known to struggle under severe financial difficulties for a
while. In June 8 stores were closed, but end of July no Interfruct
units were open.
Contrary to the newspaper's
information, Interfruct has denied the alleged closure of the stores.
According to Marketing Director Gábor Csöppüs, the
units are temporarily closed for stocktaking so supplies can be
refilled prior to reopening in the next few weeks.
