The price of crops increased
Last November, the agricultural producer prices increased by 5.5 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year. The increase is related to the 13.7 percent the increase in the prices of crop products, while prices of live animals and animal products continued to decline, by 6.4 percent – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported on Friday.
The prices of all key crop products increased. A 7.2 percent price increase occured in case of vegetables, the price of fruits increased the most significantly, by 26 percent. The price of cereals rose by 11 percent, mainly due to a 21 percent increase in the price of corn, while the price of wheat fell by 1.4 percent. (MTI)
