Fruit and vegetable prices went in opposite directions
In November 2018 agricultural production prices grew by 4.4 percent from the level of November 2017 – reported the Central Statistical Office (KSH). This increase was the result of vegetable product prices growing by 9.1 percent and livestock/products of animal origin prices decreasing by 3.1 percent from the base period level. In January-November 2018 agricultural production price jumped 2.4 percent.
Vegetable prices were 15 percent higher than in the same period of 2017, while fruit prices reduced by 15 percent. /
