Many companies distribute solutions such as vehicle tracking system, satellite fleet management system or GPS fleet tracking. In everyday conversations GPS (Global Positioning System) means a navigation system installed in a car. It uses the signals transmitted by satellites to locate the exact position of the vehicle. But a GPS position locator is also capable of transmitting signals that the software of vehicle tracking systems use. János Szász, the marketing director of Secret Control GPS Kft. told our magazine that they were the first in Hungary to develop a GPS-based vehicle protection system.

More and more vehicles use this satellite-based protection system and Mr Szász is of the opinion that the service is not expensive, if compared with the value of a vehicle that might be stolen. Secret Control GPS Kft. puts a box with a SIM card in vehicles through which an on-line GPRS connection is established with the 0-24 hour control centre of the company. In case of emergency, the system alarms the centre. GPS fleet tracking system: when installed, it starts generating profit at once because drivers’ work can be controlled all the time, the operation of the fleet can be optimised, the fuel level of vehicles can be checked and administration becomes simpler. By using the Webbase software the head of the company can check the movement of vehicles even from an Internet café abroad. Secret Control GPS Kft. offers several types of service packages.
