25 checkpoints
The perking plant of Lavazza in Torino, the biggest in the EU, covers 7,3 hectares. As they do not have plantations of their own, they purchase coffee from 60-70 producers. The large number of suppliers guarantees constant quality. The perking line is fully automated and has 25 checkpoints to monitor quality.
