Mecsek Füszért and Nyírzem resists to the crisis

Mecsek Füszért Ltd. and Nyírzem Ltd. which aquired Mecsek Füszért’s majority ownership in 2007 performed well last year.

Mecsek Füszért Ltd. last year's
turnover reached 16 billion forints – said Pekó László, chairman
of the Board of Directors of the Mecsek Füszért Ltd. The company
retained its position in the Top 200 company list and plans renewing
its retail chain of stores and to develop a cold storage depot in
Budapest. Nyírzem Ltd. also done well with a total of 8 billion
turnover. The concentration of the two companies strenghtened
significantly their market position. Both food chain of stores are
strong members of the Co-op Hungary Ltd.  

Coop Network’s consolidated turnover
reached 500 billion forints last year, and increased its market share
with 11 percent at store brands..
