Shops are looking for shopkeepers now
The coronavirus epidemic has thoroughly torn stores across borders, forcing many to close and shut down, much like we do. The reopening has already started, as has the search for a seller. Prior to the epidemic, there was a constant shortage of labor in trade, both here and elsewhere.
With the lifting of access restrictions and prohibitions, the shop world also began to revive slowly and gradually. The slowdown in farms has been accompanied by redundancies and layoffs in many places, so the desire to buy is far from the same. Demand has also fallen sharply in many areas. On the other hand, there is labor in the labor markets and there seem to be fewer stores than before, but they are looking for sellers, cashiers. And in a European context.
According to EURES, the EU’s employment portal, more than 40,000 salesmen and shopkeepers are currently being sought across Europe. That’s roughly half the number of previous ads, so the recovery of the shop world is so subdued in the job market as well.
