The purchase of this year’s tobacco crop has begun
The acquisition of this year’s tobacco crop has begun, and two domestic companies involved in the integration and acquisition of cultivation expect a yield of about 4,000 tons from their 350 farmers, the leaders of the companies told MTI on Monday.
Fekete Tibor, managing director and agronomic director of ULT (Universal Leaf Tobacco) Magyarország Kft. said that the domestic subsidiary of the U.S.-owned company expects to purchase about 2,600 tons of tobacco in 2021 from 180 contracted tobacco-producing partners. (MTI)
