The sowing of corn and sunflower has started
The sowing of corn and sunflower has started in Tolna County. The farmers plan to sow about ten percent more, compared to last year, while the winter wheat acreage has decreased.
According to the informations of the Tolna county National Agricultural Chamber, the farmers plan to sow spring-sown crops on 140,361 hectares and corn on 96,205 hectares, which is almost the same as in 2014. Sunflowers are scheduled to be produced on 34,285 hectares, compared to teh 30,681 hectares of the previous year. The soybean area will be tripled this year, the sown area will rise to 3202 hectares.
