The development strategy of domestic agrotourism has begun
The development strategy for domestic agritourism has begun – the state secretariat responsible for active Hungary told MTI.
They pointed out: the development of producer services has many advantages, as it not only provides a predictable source of income for the producer, but also adds new attractions to the offer of rural tourism, and is also an extremely powerful tool for shaping attitudes towards local products. However, in order for producers to operate as a real experience economy and to appear successfully as tourism service providers, a cross-sector strategy is needed. The strategy is prepared by the Active and Ecotourism Development Center on behalf of the Herman Ottó Intézet Nonprofit Kft., they announced. They emphasized that agrotourism has an important place in the tourism palette, since agrotourism service providers can be an attraction by taking advantage of the possibilities of experience farms, and can also operate as a gastronomic service provider. In addition to the fact that the service providers strengthen the tourist attraction of an area, they also increase the retaining power of the countryside, and the appearance in tourism provides local producers with the opportunity to stand on more than one foot.
