There are a lot of illegal workers on EU farms
Up to 60 percent of workers are illegally employed in some farms of the European Union – agrarszektor.hu wrote. Because of the seriousness of the case, many experts urges the European Parliament to adopt new legislation against agricultural labor exploitation.
Many businesses employ illegal workers in EU member states. The main cause behind the employement of illegal workers is that many farmers want to increase their profits this way.
According to the study, the worst ratio can be found in Portugal and Romania, where 40-60 percent of the workers are employed illegally on EU farms – euronews.com wrote. (agrarszektor.hu)
