The Czech Karlovarské Minerální Vody (KMV) and Balogh Levente acquired the PepsiCo’s interests in Hungary, while the Czech and Slovak PepsiCo companies are purchased exclusively by KMW. The transaction is carried out in three different countries, so the acquisition takes place through a project team.
Balogh Levente founded the Szentkirályi Mineral Water Ltd. at the beginning of the 21st century.
The Szentkirályi-Kékkúti Ásványvíz Kft. and the Karlovarské Minerální Vody (KMV) informed MTI on Monday that the transactions are still pending for the approval of the competent competition authorities and are expected to be closed in the first half of 2018. The acquisition will be a joint venture between KMV Group and Balogh Levente, the largest player in the Hungarian mineral and soft drink market. The KMV Group has become a leading mineral and beverage producer in the region with 50 percent revenue growth. (MTI)
