UK man charged with Tesco bomb threats
Europe's second biggest retail chain was several times blackmailed, but never payed.
A 51-year-old man had been charged
with making bomb threats against Tesco supermarkets which forced Britain's
biggest retailer to close 14 stores earlier this month. Unemployed Philip
McHugh from Clitheroe, Lancashire, was charged with two offences of blackmail
and two of making threats, said police in Hertfordshire where Tesco has its
headquarters.
