This year’s border checks have started
The government offices have started the implementation of the 2023 border inspections. Pursuant to the law, the land must be utilized with production appropriate to the branch of cultivation, or the establishment of weeds must be prevented without continuing production.
The Ministry of Agriculture draws the attention of property owners and land users to the fact that the implementation of the 2023 border inspections has begun. These are carried out by government offices acting as real estate authorities, during which they primarily check the fulfillment of the utilization, temporary utilization and secondary utilization obligations stipulated in the law on the protection of agricultural land.
This is what you need to know about border inspection
The cited provisions of the law oblige the land user to utilize the agricultural land with production appropriate to the branch of cultivation, or to prevent the establishment and spread of weeds without continuing production – while complying with soil protection regulations. In addition to monitoring the fulfillment of the utilization obligation, the border inspections cover the detection of the unauthorized use of agricultural land, as well as the examination of the conformity of the cultivation branches in kind and in the real estate register.
Failure to comply with the utilization obligation will result in the imposition of a land protection fine.
