Launch of the “Hotel of the Year 2025” Award – Celebrating Excellence in Hungarian Tourism
The Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (HHRA), in cooperation with Visit Hungary, has officially announced the Hotel of the Year 2025 competition. The initiative aims to recognize and showcase hotels that deliver the highest quality services, demonstrate outstanding CSR activities, implement innovative operational solutions, and achieve remarkable market performance, thereby strengthening Hungary’s tourism industry.
Who Can Apply?
All HHRA member hotels are eligible to enter, provided they have been operating continuously with year-round opening since January 1, 2024, and hold a valid accommodation classification at the time of application.
Categories
Applications can be submitted in five categories:

5* and 5* superior hotels
-
4* “limited service” hotels
-
4*–4* superior “full service” hotels
-
3*–3* superior “limited service” hotels
-
3*–3* superior “full service” hotels
Deadlines and Application Process

By September 30: applicants must register their intention to apply via the association’s website.

By October 26: submission of the application materials, including a PDF file (maximum 10 pages), a declaration, a CSR activity table, and a video, must be sent to info@hah.hu.

By January 11, 2026: hotels must provide financial, turnover, and HR-related data, along with a table of guest reviews.
Award Ceremony
The “Hotel of the Year 2025” awards will be presented at a festive ceremony in Budapest on February 27, 2026. The event is expected to be one of the most significant professional gatherings of the Hungarian tourism and hospitality sector, celebrating the very best in the industry.
