Yettel and Wolt launch joint convenience service
Yettel is making its products and services available through a new channel. As the first domestic mobile operator, you can now order prepaid mobile phones, prepaid SIM cards and numerous accessories from Yettel stores through the Wolt application.
According to data from the Central Statistical Office, more than 60% of the population has made purchases online in the past 3 months, and it is clear that an increasing proportion of purchases are now made via mobile. Applications that offer convenience and flexibility, through which we can do shopping, order food and similar daily tasks, play a significant role in this. Wolt is one such company, which, in addition to the above, is also expanding its range of so-called non-food products. Yettel was the first domestic operator to join this trend: currently, more than thirty items can be ordered through the Wolt application, which makes everyday mobile use easier. Among other things, prepaid SIM cards, prepaid mobile phones, and popular, frequently used accessories such as charging cables, charging heads, earphones, selfie sticks, and screen cleaners are also available in the application.
The cooperation, which is starting in test mode, is a novelty in the domestic mobile market. The service is starting with three locations: the Allee and Árkád stores in Budapest and the Fórum Yettel store in Debrecen are available in the Wolt application. If users are within a 10-kilometer radius of the specified locations and open the Wolt application, the Yettel store will also appear, where they can place the desired order. After that, just like when ordering food, the products typically arrive at the desired order address within an hour.
The cooperation between Yettel and Wolt started in the summer of 2024, regarding the Yepp digital tariff, which is a service that can be ordered through the Yettel application and is also available with an eSIM, but for those who need a physical SIM card, Wolt couriers in Budapest, Debrecen, Győr, Pécs and Szeged will deliver the card to their home within an hour.
