Bence Rétvári, the parliamentary state secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, said at the competition’s press conference in Budapest on Wednesday that the Food of Hungary gay kitchen cooking competition is being announced for the seventh time, and applicants are welcome from all over the Carpathian Basin. This year’s competition is organized with the motto “Only from clean sources”.
The state secretary called the cooking competition a national competition, which provides an opportunity for the excellences of Hungarian gastronomy to show their skills using local ingredients and create dishes that are as natural and healthy as possible. The goal of the competition is to innovate dishes based on Hungarian traditions. Bence Rétvári said: he hopes that as many of the dishes participating in the competition as possible will be included in the offer of domestic restaurants.
According to Márton Nobilis, the Secretary of State responsible for the food industry and trade policy of the Ministry of Agriculture, the competition, which will be held for the seventh time, proves that this is a successful enterprise that brings good news to Hungarian food products.
