Hungarian wineries can enter until May 3, 2024 for the most traditional producer wine sample. The judging is May 14-15. will take place in Budapest at the Danubius Hotel Helia.
The National Wine Competition (OBV) is a wine competition based on a three-level selection system, to which wineries from all 22 wine regions of the country can enter. Wine competitions in mountain villages and wine regions play a major role in the preliminary qualification of the named lots.
The National Council of Mountain Communities is supporting the entrants again this year, as the organizer of the National Wine Competition provides a 50% discount on the entry fee for the large gold and gold medal wines of the 2024 wine region wine competitions. The remaining 50% of the payment of the entry fee can be taken over by some wine regions, so winemakers can even enter the wine batches that have already been awarded at the wine competitions in the wine region for free.
