The online insurance broker Netrisk.hu is entering the banking products market. Personal loans and Otthon Start schemes can now be compared on the site, and the mortgage and bank account comparison calculator will also be launched soon – said the regional manager of the Netrisk group responsible for Austria and Hungary at the company’s press conference in Budapest on Tuesday.

Márton Besnyő explained: according to the plans, they will open in the small business segment next year, and later they would like to appear in the pension insurance market with a site that allows product comparison.

According to initial experiences, there is very strong interest in Otthon Start products

– he added.

The market for personal loans and subsidized mortgages is also growing dynamically in Hungary. However, online comparison of banking products is still much less widespread than that of insurance, even though the insurance market clearly shows that digitalization and comparability bring financial benefits to consumers, the managing director explained.

He said: the Netrisk group is present in six countries, of which only the Hungarian market has not offered banking products so far.

They conduct a complex banking comparison; not only the total cost of ownership (TCO), but also several quality aspects, including the comparison of banking services and the speed of loan disbursement, help in the choice, because the cheapest is not always the best decision – he said.

Márton Besnyő said: their goal is for Netrisk.hu to be among the three largest players in the online credit intermediary market within two years.

The Netrisk group operates in six countries – Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Hungary and Slovakia – and serves a total of 12 million customers, of which 2.5 million are in Hungary.
