The successor of the Johnson & Johnson estate passed away
Barbara Piasecka Johnson the family's former maid passed away after a long and serious illness at the age of 76. Barbara Piasecka Johnson became one of the world's richest woman, from a poor Polish girl.
Barbara Piasecka was born in 1937 in eastern Poland, (now part of Belarus) in a farmer family. After the Second World War, her family settled in Wroclaw, where she graduated from art history. In 1968, she emigrated to the United States without money and without speaking English, where she was working as a cook and a maid at Johnson & Johnson’s heir J. Seward Johnson and his wife.
The employer soon fell in love with the maid, and divorced from his second wife in 1971, in favor of Barbara Piasecka. (MTI)
