European ‘farm to fork’ and biodiversity strategy unacceptable for the Chamber of Agriculture
The European Commission has published its Farm to Fork strategy for the transition to a sustainable agriculture and food industry, as part of the European Green Deal, and the Biodiversity Strategy for the protection of biodiversity.
The National Chamber of Agriculture is committed to reducing the burden on the environment, but the strategies now presented to the public body are unacceptable: the goals they set are unachievable and would place such a heavy burden on agri-food operators that many of them would give up.
