Geo-blocking has entered into force! What shall we pay attention to?
On 3 December the EU’s Geo-blocking Regulation entered into force: it addresses unjustified online sales discrimination based on customers’ nationality, place of residence or place of establishment within the internal market. Sándor Nagy, the president of Ecommerce Hungary told: from now on a website mustn’t deny bank card payment by foreign customers.
For example it still isn’t forbidden for an online shop to sell a product for EUR 70 on its Italian page and on the Austrian website of the same shop for EUR 95, but Austrian citizens must get access to buy on the Italian page. //
