Analysts: foreign trade surplus exceeded the expectations
The foreign trade surplus in January exceeded the expectations – analysts told MTI on Wednesday. The analysts share different views about the extent of the surplus.
According to the communication of the Central Statistical Office, the January value of the Hungarian exports, calculated in euro, increased by 2.8 percent, compared to the same month of the last year, while imports fell by 0.1 percent. The export surplus was 461 million euros, 188 million euros higher than in last January.
Suppan Gergely, senior analyst of the the Savings Bank emphasized, that the foreign trade surplus in January is high above the expectations. (MTI)
