Analysts: Inflation in the coming months can fall to 2.1 – 2.6 percent
Consumer prices fell by 0.1 percent in February, compared to January, and were 2.8 percent higher than a year earlier – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday. The favorable data can be explained with the effects of the 10 percent overheads reduction.
In February, the price of food products has not changed in a month, including the seasonal food prices (potatoes, fresh vegetables and fruit) became more expensive by 2.1 percent. However, the price of cooking oil fell by 2.4 percent, the price of pork by 2.2 percent, and the price of eggs by 1.9 percent. Without calculating the seasonal food prices, food prices fell by an average of 0.3 percent during the month. (MTI)
