Analysts: foreign trade surplus can be over 7 billion euros this year
Analysts said that the lower than expected February trade surplus can be explained by the working day effects, however, on an annual basis more than 7 billion euros surplus is expected, that is higher than in the last year.
According to the datas of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) published on Monday, exports in February this year decreased by 1.2 percent in euros, while imports declined by 0.1 percent in euros. In the first two months of the year, export was 1.5 and import was 2.5 percent higher than a year ago. According to the the first estimates the value of export was 6.569 billion in February 2013, while the value of import was 5.896 billion euros. The the trade surplus was 673 million euros, 71 million less than a year before. (MTI)
