Analysts: less-than-expected decline in retail sales last year
According to analysts polled by MTI, retail sales decreased less-than-expected last year. The analysts expect a decline below 1 percent, which would be lower than last year’s data.
The national economy ministry in its communication pointed out that the performance of Hungarian retail was better than the performance of the euro area’s average or the average of the region.
The Central Statistics Office announced on Monday that in December last year the volume of retail decreased by 2.1, in the entire year by 1.9 percent, compared to the datas of the previous year. (MTI)
