Analysis: They start in Italy, but the Hungarians continue their summer in Croatia
On the basis of aggregated data, Yettel continuously examines the type and intensity of traffic on its network for both domestic and foreign customers using mobile phones. The company has now analyzed the summer period full of holidays, obtaining interesting findings from the data.
This summer, Yettel customers roamed in a total of 155 foreign countries, and foreign mobile users who connected to the Yettel network visited Hungary from 126 countries.
Yettel’s summer data traffic analysis yielded surprising results, among other things, in the case of Yettel subscribers who use mobile phones abroad: an analysis of the aggregated mobile usage habits of this summer months revealed that, among the more popular southern holiday destinations, the foreign data traffic of Hungarians increases the most in the Italian region in June, followed by July in August, Croatia takes over the leading role.
The data traffic of foreign customers visiting us was increasingly high in the months of June-July-August, during the three summer months the guests staying here used their mobile phones on average more than 60% more than during an average spring month.
