During the two-month series of inspections, around 1,200 units and almost 1,500 products were tested in dozens of target areas. The overwhelmingly positive results – as well as the problems identified – demonstrate both the success of food safety work and the necessity of such work. Inspectors checked summer camps, festivals and restaurants around Lake Balaton and Lake Tisza – the result was 135 proceedings and fines imposed in the value of HUF 8m. //
