Food safety: more than 10 thousand controls

In two months of this summer – that is July and August – experts responsible for food safety have carried out a total of 12,500 controls. Throughout these regular authority checks (there were 631 of them), a total of 100.7 million fine was imposed. Fines imposed locally are over 500 thousand forints, whereas the value of quality-protection is over 97.2 million HUF (37 occasions). Other fines (14 occasions) gathered a total of 900 thousand forints.
