An electric car is being developed by the mail order company
UPS announced on Friday that it will develop its own electric car, along with the well-known truck manufacturer Workhorse – origo wrote. First, fifty cars are being manufactured to replace their fossil fueled cars.
The electric vehicles will be able to do 100 miles (160 km) and are expected to be delivered in 2018. We see that electric vehicles can make a big difference in shipping – Carlton Rose, global fleet management and managing director of UPS said.
The Atlanta-based company has 35,000 petrol and diesel-powered vehicles. The price of new electric cars would be the same as the price of the previous vehicles, but the cost of maintaining them will be much cheaper. (origo)
