There will be enough Hungarian tomatoes and peppers on the market this year

Hungarian tomatoes and peppers are available for weeks. As it was said at the professional day of Syngenta and the Árpád Agrár Zrt. in Szentes: according to forecasts a sufficient quantity is available for the domestic consumers from spring to autumn, while a small part of the production volume will be sold on export markets.

Overall, the tomato and pepper growers closed a good year last year – Antal Gyula, Syngenta’s campaign manager said at the professional day in Szentes. Although the yields were reduced by the hot summer, the prices were acceptable at most vegetables. Experts expect a similar season for this year as well.
