Metro has fed up with price war
Metro retail chain's leader demands the cessation of increasing price reduction war in food trade.
According to Eckhard Cordes; the price war is contrary with the original intention and has a murder effect, on producers. The statement urged the competitors, to stop the destructive competition.
Cordes believes, that the price war has no sense economically, because when a participant decreases its prices, the others will immediately follow it. All participants must understand that it is not the way to increase market share – reports Origo.
