Borsodi Brewery for sale
The Belgian-Brazilian Inbev is selling 11 beer breweries in 7 Central European countries including the Borsodi brewery. The companies are producing 15 million hectoliters of beer per year.
Inbev bought last year the Anheuser-Busch company, the brand name owner of Budweiser beer for 52 billion dollars. The Anheuser-Busch Inbev, which became the world's largest beer brewer sold its South Korean brewery for 1.8 billion dollars last month. Besides the Hungarian brewery, now it is selling its Bulgarian, Romanian, Czech, Croatian, Serbian and Montenegrin interests as well. The reason for the transaction is that, Inbev wants to focus on North and South America, although it has products in Europe such as Stella Artois, Beck's, Leffe and Jupiler. Inbev offering its Central European interests for sale in one piece. The prospective purchaser can be the CVC investment fund – reports Népszabadság Online.
