Imperial Brands sells its Russian branch

Imperial Brands – formerly known as Imperial Tobacco Group – will transfer its Russian business to Russia-based investors. The transaction is in line with the group’s previously announced intention to close its entire Russian operation, but in a way that its 1,000 Russian employees will come out of it well.
