Henkel sell its plant in Barcs
According to local daily Somogyi Hírlap Henkel has decided to shut down its plant in the Hungarian city of Barcs because of falling demand on export markets.
Company wants to sell the Barcs plant,
which makes building industry chemicals, to a peer that can keep
production going by October 31. Ferenc Deák, Henkel Hungary's
CEO, said the economic crisis was not directly to blame for the
decision to sell the plant, rather changes to opportunities on the
market. The planned sale will not affect Henkel's other production in
Hungary.
