The delegated right to sample and inspect the seed can then be requested
On May 31, 2019, based on the amendment to the Decree on the production and placing on the market of seeds of field plant species, the possibility of sampling, field inspection, and seed testing that can be carried out under the delegated authority came into force. With this procedure, the authority tries to facilitate the operation of the Hungarian seed sector, since the great advantage of sampling under delegated authority is that it can be done at any time convenient for the company.

The delegated authority can currently be requested for three activities:
• field inspection,
• sampling,
• seed testing
The prerequisite for obtaining a license is passing a theoretical and practical exam supervised by Nébih. The theoretical study material is available on Nébih’s website (https://portal.nebih.gov.hu/ Növény/ Nyomtatványok/ Vetőmag) Those interested can send their questions about the activities carried out under the delegated powers to the email address mgei@nebih.gov.hu. The application is submitted electronically in the manner described in the regulations and on a form with all attached attachments (customer portal, company portal) on https://epapir.gov.hu.
