OTP Real Estate Investment Fund Management and Green Cloud have entered into cooperation
OTP Ingatlan Befektetési Alapkezelő Zrt. (OTP IBA) has become a client of Green Cloud, thus reinforcing its commitment to sustainability. The service provider can now welcome five large companies among its clients, who have so far contracted for a total of nearly 500 GWh of clean energy. Thanks to the cooperation, the fund manager is now using a significant amount of green energy in its real estate portfolio, thus ensuring an environmentally friendly energy supply for its tenants.
Green energy and competitive advantage in one step
The cooperation with Green Cloud is an important milestone in OTP IBA’s sustainability strategy. Thanks to this, 30% of the company’s real estate portfolio is now covered by green energy, which is a significant step in reducing its carbon footprint and maintaining long-term market competitiveness. Access to sustainable energy sources not only brings environmental benefits, but also provides a competitive advantage from a business perspective.
“Our decision to use Green Cloud’s decarbonization service was based on our cooperation with E.ON, which guarantees security of supply and a significant amount of green electricity. ESG requirements are becoming increasingly stricter, and our customers also expect sustainability considerations to be taken into account, which is one of the reasons why this step is key for us. In the future, we plan to expand our capacities and introduce additional green energy solutions,”
said Miklós Saly, Deputy Director of Real Estate Management at OTP Ingatlan Befektetési Alapkezelő Zrt.
