Ayvens and BYD enter into cooperation
One of the leading fleet managers in Hungary, Ayvens, announced that it will enter into a key partnership with BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of New Energy Vehicles (NEV), i.e. pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, following the central strategic agreement signed in 2024. On the occasion of the official announcement of the partnership, William Shao, CFO of the overseas region, visited Hungary, where they discussed the details of the agreement with Tímea Pesti, CEO of Ayvens Hungary (formerly ALD Automotive | LeasePlan).
As part of the partnership, Ayvens will provide operational leasing services for BYD cars to small, medium and large companies through a “white label” partnership called BYD Lease. Accordingly, Ayvens will become BYD’s exclusive fleet management partner and Ayvens will be able to serve inquiries received through key dealer partners. The local agreement follows a partnership signed by the two parent companies in 2024, which will be implemented in six additional European countries, Greece, Portugal, Finland, Ireland, Romania and Sweden, in addition to Hungary. This expansion is a significant milestone for both companies, as it brings the number of participating European countries to eleven, following successful partnerships in Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
The partnership aims to combine Ayvens’ leading expertise in operational leasing with BYD’s extensive experience in the production of plug-in vehicles. Together, the two companies will offer sustainable mobility solutions that can meet the unique needs of different customer segments, all through BYD’s dealer network and Ayvens’ full-service package.
As a leader in the NEV market, BYD is committed to continuous development and innovation and has recently expanded its vehicle range with the launch of a new premium brand, DENZA, in Europe. With BYD Lease, customers can benefit from comprehensive electric vehicle fleet solutions across BYD’s full electric and Super Dual Mode plug-in hybrid vehicle range, with services ranging from consultancy and operational leasing to charging services.
