Cooperation to protect bees
On the occasion of World Bee Day, SIÓ announced that it would sign a cooperation agreement with the National Hungarian Beekeeping Association (OMME) in order to protect Hungarian bees. The largest fruit producer in the country supports the work of the organization with a comprehensive communication campaign, educational events and employee activities, agrarszektor.hu wrote.
Not only is the high quality of raw materials important for SIÓ, but it also pays at least as much attention to maintaining the ecosystem, the company writes in a statement. 76 percent of global food production depends on pollination of domestic and wild bee species. These organisms ensure that high-quality crops, such as various fruits, are produced worldwide. In short, without bees, there would be no succulent fruit. (agrarszektor.hu)
