After the new EU budget period starting in 2020, the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) needs to be simplifed and bureaucracy should be reduced – Fazekas Sándor said at a press conference on Friday in Szarvas. He also confirmed that support for farmers should not be reduced after 2020 either.
Hungary is interested in a strong, ambitious EU agricultural policy – said the ministry leader after discussed with delegates from 12 countries. He also noted that due to the current crises – such as the recent milk or pork crisis – more flexible, more innovative management institutional background is needed as it is the only way to ensure compliance with the food prices.
