People living from agriculture can tax more easily

By renewing the regulations on family farms and primary producers, the government would simplify the tax environment for farmers and increase the tax exemption thresholds, the agriculture minister said at the opening of the 33rd Bábolna Farmers’ Days.

Nagy István emphasized the paramount importance of the regulation, as it is a question of the operating environment of 290 thousand primary producers and more than 23 thousand family farms.

The Minister added that by combining the joint primary producer activity and the current forms of operation of the family farm,they would like to introduce the institution of the family farm of primary producers as a new form of operation. The Minister of Agriculture announced that the new concept had been developed in cooperation with the National Chamber of Agriculture and the National Association of Hungarian Farmers and Cooperatives (MAGOSZ), with the involvement of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Justice, and is expected to be discussed at the autumn session.
