More and more people are asking for their orders at package collection points
As part of an experiment, the team of the Behavioral Insight Team investigated what designs would help to nudge customers in the direction of ordering their products at parcel pick-up points rather than at home – G7 quotes the research.
This solution is better because the courier has to take all products to one place instead of many individual addresses, so it also consumes less fuel. It is also not incidental that the vans used for delivery only stop at one point, where they usually have the opportunity to do so without disturbing the traffic.
The customer can benefit from the fact that he does not have to be at home at a specified time, and in many cities there is one such package point very close to everyone. The experiment was carried out in London, where parcel points are in most cases very easy to reach.
