Seeking for cheaper products in a growing number of businesses
According to the joint study of Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and GfK Hugária; Hungarians adapts to the economical crisis a special way, so the Hungarian market, therefore, should be managed differently by the merchants.
In the more developed Western countries, customers are mostly looking for the cheaper products, and a large number of companies used this well. In contrast, in Hungary the decrease in demands affected all kind of products. According to experts, the Hungarian consumers had much smaller savings before the crisis, so they are much more existentially threatened, than the customers of Western Europe – reports Világgazdaság Online.
