More and more commercials aired
Retail has started to advertise even more now that shops can once again open on Sundays. While back in February retailers’ commercials had a 16,760 GRP in the 18-49 age group, in March and April this index was around 25,500 points. More than half of this GRP were hyper-and supermarkets, 7,449 and 6,436 points, respectively.
Television commercials of medicinal products, groceries, retailers and beauty products reached the most 18-49 year old viewers. Hungarians were watching television programmes in real time for 265 minutes in this period – 4 percent less than a year earlier. Television channels aired 643,615 commercials in April 2016, 15 percent more than in April 2015. At rate card price companies spent HUF 108.1 billion on television commercials, 14 percent more than in last April.
