An increasing number of under age, foreign and organized offenders steal from the shops
According to Népszava the experiences have shown that thefts in Hungarian shops have became more organized and tend to lower-value goods than in the past.
According to Fodor Attila, spokesman of CBA; in the shops of CBA the number of thefts increased to two-threefold compared to last year. At METRO the number of thefts has not grown, but became more and more organized and the number of under age and foreign offenders has grown either – said Krubl Yvette Head of Communication.
According to Hack Mónika spokesman of Tesco, the chain has a significant damage from the thefts. The value of thefts reaches 1 percent of Tesco's annual turnover of Hungarian units.
